4.3/5 (Read the Reviews)
Balamurugan Restaurant, tucked near the Old Bus Stand in Pudugramam, Thoothukudi, dishes out no-frills Tamil Nadu staples that draw steady queues for its peppery Chettinad chicken and briny Kothu Parotta redolent of coastal curry leaves; the 4.3-star buzz owes less to décor—there is none—than to lightning-quick service, wallet-friendly prices and a kitchen that starts at dawn with fresh seafood deliveries, making it a reliable pit-stop before long southern bus journeys.
